Dermatomyositis is a rare autoimmune disease.

Its characterised by a rash, which has a number of appearances, including something called gottron’s papules and associated muscle weakness and pain.

Doesn’t sound too bad when you write it down like that does it…truth is, it can be debilitating and cause disability and even death.

There is a form of the disease which doesn’t have the muscle involvement and thats called Amyopathic Dermatomyositis
